Rebuilding of traditional Chuan-dou structure house A lot of houses collapsed during 512 Wenchuan earthquake, however a hundred years old temple at Liping Village was remain intact with just one wall damaged. Architect Liu Zhen, raised resources from scratch, worked with volunteers trying to rebuild and reinforce this old house by using traditional Chuan-dou building method. They documented the whole rebuilding process by filming and PCD provided supports for the post-production. We hope this film can convey a message on how people understand and express traditional architectural techniques, documenting the valuable traditional wisdoms and sharing with others.
